If you’ve been scouring etisalat.ae (Dubai and UAE’s mobile carrier) for any information on their data plans for accessing GPRS, EDGE, or 3G… guess what? You won’t find anything there. That’s because the great minds who put the site together forgot to include the largest growing service they offer — mobile data. So instead, we’ve taken the liberty of doing their work for them. The plans available are as follows:

• Pay As You Go, charged at AED 20 per MB

• 2MB for AED 25 per month, AED 10 per additional MB

• 10MB for AED 50 per month, AED 8 per additional MB

• 50MB for AED 95 per month, AED 7 per additional MB

• 120MB for AED 195 per month, AED 6 per additional MB

• 200MB for AED 295 per month, AED 5 per additional MB

• 400MB for AED 495 per month, AED 4 per additional MB

• 1000MB for AED 995 per month, AED 3 per additional MB

To sign up, you can visit the nearest Etisalat branch, or dial 125 from your mobile handset and select the plan you want from the prompt.

UPDATE: You must first cancel the pay-as-you-go plan that is active on your account by default. You can do this by dialing 101 from your mobile handset and at the prompt, dial 2, 2, 2, 2 to speak to an agent.
